Well Pitched - a cricket blog

WellPitched is an idea that was floated around by some of us cricket fanatics who used to exchange emails discussing the latest happenings in the world of cricket. Be it news, matches or players, we would exchange our views on everything. During the exchanges, we realised that almost everyone had an opionion, that too at any given relative time of day since we are spead out all over the world. As the "To" list on our emails grew, so did the volume of emails, the diversity in opinions and the realization that we must blog our thoughts and share them with a worldwide audience.

While CricInfo is the authority on statistics, live coverage, player comments etc, there are a variety of blogs that contain thoughts on cricket. Our goal is to rise above blogging mix and simply publish high quality and well researched content on a regular basis so that it fosters debate and gives you something to think about with your morning cup of tea, afternoon coffee or dinner (depending on where you are). You can count on us to take cricket writing to the next level in a manner that is more Interesting, Insightful, Interactive, and Informative - this is what we refer to as the 4 I's of journalism. When reader's comments are added to the equation, it is taking journalism, not to the next level, but to a different plane altogether. For this to happen we need your help.

We want WellPitched to be an interactive space, and would like you to leave comments on the posts - agree, disagree, argue, criticize, compliment, correct, do as you please. The views expressed on WellPitched will be those of the authors and you may or may not agree with them, which will only make the discussions more constructive. Moreover, we also want to educate and provide insights, thus if you would like us to give views on a cricket related subject or answer a query that you may have, just leave a comment and we promise to respond.

We are starting of as a blog but our goals are bigger. We plan to add a number of exciting features on WellPitched that would keep you cricket fans interested and active on the site. Stay tuned for updates and new features.

Remember, if its well pitched, it will bowl you over!

Thank you for visiting WellPitched. Enjoy your stay and keep coming back.
