Shoaib Akhtar Jhooms with India on Sahara!

Mahesh Bhatt, the director whose film Shoaib refused a couple of years back, was one of the judges on the show and was probably the one who convinced Shoaib to do the show. Or maybe not. The pic on the right is from one of the parties thrown by Sahara Group, one which was attended by both the Pakistani and Indian cricketers. In the pic Shoaib is seen chatting up one of Sahara's top men. Was the deal being signed here?

Here is the video of him performing on 'Jhoom India'. Here's another one where he is showing some freinds around his village in India and singing some Kishore Kumar songs for them.
All the Khans watch out, Shoaib Akhtar is going to give you competition soon!
Q,
I wish him good luck.
Oh my.
Hahaha...I like ur reaction Uncle J, but can u elaborate on the 'Oh my' :-)
Q, you know my views on this from Ottayan's blog.
Like Wasim bhai and Waqar before him, he's preparing for life after cricket. Everyone needs to do that when they feel they are towards the fag end.
Maybe the regular choices aren't his cup of tea...if acting be his forte, so be it. I think he knows best which way his body is headed, long with his career, and this may be an indication that he may call it quits sooner than later.
Then again, he probably felt that it may not be wise to spurn the chance this time unlike the last time when he had time and a bit more of playing career.
Good luck to him, if he chooses to act. Not just films...there are plenty of serials too where he could fit in easily. He could be in for action hero kind of movies...he has an intensity about his eyes too which could work on the screen.
That's Subroto Roy he's speaking with...founder/owner of Sahara group. He's moneybags with an international spread and variety to his business interests. Has a soft corner for sportspersons and showbiz. Not a bad place to start from, I'd say!
Owner of Sahara Group? Wah, trust Shoaib to start at the top and I was thinking he was talking to some top man from Sahara...he was right at the top :-)
I agree with u SB abt him choosing for life after cricket.
