Buchanan does the Dirty Work

For the first time in history, cricketers are going to be up for grabs on the trading floor next month when the IPL trading window opens up.

And Shoaib Akhtar is the first cricketer to be put up for trade by his franchise.

According to John Buchanan that is.

That wouldn't go down too well with Shoaib, especially with him trying his best to prove a point to his critics.

His reaction is yet to come and I don't think it will be a good one.

After all he was playing for "bade bhaiyyas" Shahrukh Khan and Saurav Ganguly.

Saurav and SRK probably deliberately stayed away from announcing this and let Buchanan do the dirty work.

And it probably is Buchanan's decision as well given the "closeness" between SRK, Saurav, and Shoaib.

Saurav close to Shoaib ? Are you kidding ? Shoiab playing with KKR is more to do with SRK than with Saurav!!!

Anyways now with Mendis unleashed and Ishant s exploits this year nobody needs Akhtar and Gul who is more happy to settle down under!!

Sam, Buchanan basically said that they dont need shoaib cos they have Gul.

I think the 4 overseas players they will look to play are McCullum, Gayle, Mendis, and Gul.

Well no actually.. they have Ponting and D. Hussey as well so not too sure who they'll pick.

As for Shoaib and Saurav I think they are quite friendly.. see them dancing together:

Besides this, they usually bond whenever touring..
