Atherton on Pakistan

I don't generally enjoy Mike Atherton behind the mic or with the pen.

He's too boring.

But this time round he has hit the bulls eye!

A moving piece on Pakistan cricket and worth a read.

Certainly well-written, but not sure what he's getting at. No one is ostracizing Pakistan from cricket. There is no talk of not playing Pakistan (save, perhaps, India, and that too temporarily). All countries are open to playing them at their own homes, or at neutral venues.

Now, if he's fearing the ICC not being involved in the development of the game within Pakistan's borders, that has not been hinted at all. Also, perhaps he needs to spend more time learning about the PCB - an inept, useless, pathetic organization that has done a crap job of promoting cricket in Pakistan. It's primarily their responsibility.

Definitely an excellent narrative on Pakistan cricket. But his point and message are somewhat unclear.

I see wat u mean Sledge.. I read it again after ur comment to see if there was some clarity... but ur right there wasn't..

When I first read it I got engrossed in the beauty that is Pakistan cricket that I forgot that there was supposed to be a plot, a point, a message..

A nice tribute to Pakistan cricket and yet why now everything is in doldrums. It is time the fans kick the administrators royally.
