How long does it take to print T-Shirts?

Were they confident enough to spend a few dollars on these T-shirts even before the final got underway or was there an express rapid fire T-shirt printer around at the ground?

I'm hoping you truly know the answer to this question, but just to let you know - these t-shirts are printed in advance.

Happens in the US all the time. At any championship, t-shirts are printed out for both teams. As soon as the game is over, the box is opened and the t-shirts come out.

My guess is that the other half of the shirts are destroyed.

Interesting, they sometimes get donated to developing countries:

Thanks for the link SledgeHammer, that's some angle.

Q, can be sure Mallaya would have destroyed the Ts. For all you know he must have been wearing them thru the tournament, high hopes he has.

the way he was owner of one and sponsor of many teams...i am sure he would have used fixed detachable logos on his 'champions' t-shirts...

Sledge: nope, I didn't know the answer, which is why I asked :-)

Thanks for the link, I had no idea this is how it works..

That means that there are T-shirts around that say:

Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2009 Champions

I would like to get my hands on one and just wear it for the heck of it ;-)

@Q: Visit some impoverished village around the world, and you may just spot such a shirt.

    Other shirts you might see...

    - Kenya: World Cup Finalists 2003!

    - Misbah-ul-Haq: Man-of-the-Match World T20 2007 (ok, this would have required an on-field printer!)

    - Buffalo Bills: Superbowl Champs, (take your pick of a year! - sorry to the non-yanks who may not get this one)

    - Inzi: Pakistan's Highest Test Scorer!
