i remember when he was shoved around when returning in 2007, boy was he angry... and Younas Khan still gets angry even after winning the worldcup! the morning he returned to karachi after the win, he blasted some reporters who were knocking on his door and woke him up! i believe the reporters earned it!

It happens in Pakistan too... but I think the reaction in India is a bit more passionate than in Pak...
I mean u won't see effigy burning in Pak, but then u won't even see the players being treated as heroes the way the Indian team were when they won the 2007 World T20, through parades and stuff...

Q, we have seen some pics where Umar Gul and Boom Boom were paraded in open vehicle when they respectively went to their home towns.
The reaction this time in India were quite subdued except few stray incidents which were outcome of some small time political leaders trying to gain mileage.
