10 LBWs

10 Pakistani batsmen fell to an LBW decision in two innings in the just concluded test match.

In comparison, only 2 Sri Lankan batsmen lost their wickets in that manner.

There's something wrong there.

Not with the umpires, with the Pakistani batsmen!

Did they forget to use their bats? Did they forget to move their legs out of the way?

Whatever it is, it needs to be sorted out soon enough.

10 LBWs... "Q" i know what is the reason behind our 10 LBWs...

NOPE they didnt forget for move their legs.... and also they didnt forget to play with their bats....

OBVIOUS reason is that they didnt pay their hypnotising doctor.. when they won T20 WC... This time he made sure that he hypnotise pak players not to play cricket...

Q but tell me .. 63630210 these are the figures for the batsmen from 4 to 11 .. did all of them forget at the same time , or were they over hypnotised .

The team has crashed all my hopes .. i was hopeful to go in the third test 1 all .. all day yesterday . EST I was very pumped up and very confident for a comeback ...but nah ..

    It's really sad :(

Oh well. Taking it positively, they can grow from this the way SL did from T20 loss. I will always support Pakistan.

    lol@Anon's comment :)

They simply did not watch for late movement Q.

Either that or they like the feel of the ball hitting their pads....some kind of strange fetish.

    P.S.
I didn't get to watch the whole match on TV..so someone tell me, am I seeing things? Or is Shoaib Malik really smiling at being bowled out? Grinning, even.

    Anonymous,

Haha.. I guess he hypnotized their legs!

    SP,

I don't think they had any...

    SM,

Yep they all could not play the swing or the spin with the new ball.. all of them missed it.

Give them time, don't worry we'll come good.. our batsmen need more time in the middle..

    Husha,

Yeah.. keep the support going.. the team needs it..

I didn't see the game, but: "Harper didn't have a special Test in Galle, and today two of his four lbw calls looked decidedly wrong, and two appeared to have enough doubt." - Cricinfo

    That true?

    Husha,

He wasn't smiling/grinning.. it was a look of shock from what I could tell.. the ball just kissed the bail.. but I think he did let out a weird smile.. probably through shock than anything else..

    SMK,

We don't learn from our mistakes.. I wonder what they do in the nets..

    SMK,

I was just going to mention that.. I've also heard that the officials are coming down hard on some of Harper's decisions.. I don't know which 4 they are talking abt..

I watched the game and only Misbah's was doubtful as it looked like going down leg.. all the others looked plumb to me.

    q,
its a rather tough proposition to switch from the shorter format to the longer one.
i've tried to put together what might might have gone wrong on my blog, hopefully i don't get branded a traitor ;)
neways wish the things go uphill from here.

Well just watched the highlights. Looks like Misbah was really unlucky and the others were just plain lazy to move their feet. What about Younis Khan's wicket? Was he trying to go one up on Kevin Peterson?

    Prafs,

I just read what you had to say and I have to say I can't agree more with you. You are spot on sir jee!

As for being labelled a traitor, I don't see why that should be the case.. the thoughts should come from being a cricket viewer and not from being Pakistani or Indian.. :-)

    Rayden,

YK did play an atrocious shot but I believe he had done his job.. had he played that when he was in the 20s or 30s it would have been a different thing.. but he had added 200 with Fawad and I don't think he deserves criticism.. its the batsmen that followed that failed to do what was required of them..

I also found Misbah unlucky.. and the rest, as u said, failed to move their feet..

  21. Rayden said...

Yeah I agree Q. Although YK's shot was just complete nuts, he did do his job. I don't think he would have imagined after his wicket Pak would be all out within 35 runs.

  22. Q said...

Yeah Rayden, no one could have expected that collapse.. sigh..

Hi Q I have a quick Quiz Question for you if you don't mind on my blog .

  24. smk said...

Perhaps now the set batsmen will start predicting such a collapse if they are to get out and thus apply themselves more when they are the crease :) The glass is always half-full! P.S drop shoaib malik
