Someome might break Saeed Anwar's record of 194 but no one will be able to break Afridi's record of the fastest century.
I think ur right Khansahab.
gng by match fitness, reckon it'll be a non-asian player who'll cause double trouble. asia cup should've seen a double, but neither sehwag nor sanath rambled on. like saeed anwar, they too should've gone for a runner.
Theres an amazing piece on cricinfo today which talks abt wy the likes of Jayasuriya, sehwag, and gilchrist have looked like breaking anwar's record but haven't - it says that these guys go on to play their shots even when approaching the landmark and the records don't worry them.
True but anwar also kept playing his shots.
I agree a runner made his job easier - he got a runner while he was still in the 40s.
Whats more interesting is that all the journalists as cricinfo says were looking for anwar's contacts while jayasuriya was in play expecting a record breaker.
I know a blogger who was expecting the same ;-)
Q
Yes Anwar had a runner but he also had high temperature that day. So that evens it out I guess.
Plus the vast majority of his runs were scored in sixes and fours, so I don't think having a runner helped him a great deal.
