ICC World Twenty20 2009: Tickets on sale soon

Yes it's a year away, but it's never early enough to start your planning. Given the success of the first World Twenty20, and the increasing acceptance of this format, this event should prove to be a cracker (as long as the rain stays away).

I personally plan to attend, but it's all a bit tentative. But I do plan to scoop up some match tix just in case.

Anyway, here's the ticket info. Tickets go on sale June 30th, 2008. Tickets can be purchased from the ICC's official website.

And here's the schedule.

So based on the schedule, Pakistan won't play India until the semi-finals. That sucks!

Of course, this is assuming India and Pakistan get past the group stage. I mean that should be a safe assumption, right??? ;)

You're planning to attend? Why, we must meet if you do. I'd certainly like to get to some of the London games.

Sure Miriam, I just thought abt it - I'm going to try and fit in the Ashes and the World 20-20. Let me check the itinerary to see if thats even feasible :-)

whoa! Ive been too busy working on the logo to actually read comments :) Thanks for appreciating the new look guys... stay tuned for for further changes

Sledgehammer I think the excitement for many people has gone away since Pakistan and India are not guaranteed to play a game

Oh y I forgot to say: very nice logo.

Q the first Ashes test is July 8, at Cardiff, so a couple of weeks after the end of the Twenty20.

I already know for a fact that I'm definitely going to be in London for the Twenty20, because my sister is getting married then, which is very fortuitous timing.

A 2 week trip to catch the semis / final of 20-20 and 1st Ashes test could be planned..

Oh wow a wedding in the family - always exciting times :-)

But u live in London Miriam, dont u?

Q, I do live in London, yes.

What I meant was that I know that I won't be out of London at (for example) anyone else's wedding, because there's nothing that would make me miss my sister's wedding, so it's all worked out rather well.
