How Does it Feel?

A question I would like to ask all Australians as they surely haven't seen anything like what happened in Mohali for almost 2 decades.

The more younger ones wouldn't have seen their team being outplayed like this in their lifetime.

So how does it feel like to be on the other side?

Make your pitch on this post...

Full marks to India and no marks to Australia. I am double minded whether we will now see a recharged Australian side that will thump India or whether the Australian confidence is so broken that they will play like minnows. Certainly the Indian strategy is to suck all the confidence out of Australia and make them feel vulnerable.

Ah.. a golden question... I got an answer from one... but was also reminded this is only one test.

Scorp what was the answer? U shud've replied saying that even though this is 1 test, it came for the first time in almost 2 decades.

It feels OK. I've prepared myself for the tide to turn knowing that nothing lasts forever.

Considering I can remember the early 1980's I've enjoyed every minute of our domination. Although the winning hasn't excited me as much as the way this generation has taken cricket to a higher plane.

But be careful. Don't write off Australia too soon. It needs to be remembered that the Australian style isn't suited for the sub-continent and that can be seen by the fact that the BaggyGreen's have only won one series in India in the last 40 years and the majority of that team toured twice before achieving success.

When a team can beat Australia at home then you'll know that the rot has really set in.

And after beating England senseless for 20 years, Mohali has helped me to understand all the fuss over the medals and boozy open-top busses.

The answer q was.."now i now what the rest if the world feels like playing against Australia for a decade"

    Priceless.

Good question. Ponting is sound like an Indian captain recapping the number of Tests he has played, won, and runs he's got. So they all say the same things when they lose.

India one step closer to regaining the Border Gavaskar trophy but I won't write Australia off, yet.

I feel like a Tooheys, or two.

Sorry, bad beer advert pun.. the Aussies will get it.

I commented on Nesta's blog words to the effect of we'd lost the test when Anil wasn't fit and we lost the toss on Day 1. Wasn't expecting the ass kicking that Mohali went on to become, however I'm hoping with Stuart Clark back for the 3rd Test we should improve. I'd like to see Shaun Marsh and Roy on the next plane over too.

As for "How does it feel?", I've detailed the grieving process for you ;)

Moses, you're showing your NSW colors by asking for Tooheys. Now, let me go read your post.

Nesta - If uve seen the early 80s then u have definitely seen the worst and best times for Australia.

A lot of Aussies would now understand those open top bus parades ;-)

Scorps, that was the answer I was looking for.

VM, no one would write off Australia just yet.

Moses, will hop on over to read ur reactions. Its not the loss that I'm asking the Aussies about, its the manner or rather the scale of the loss. Having been dominated for 5 days is not something the Aussies would have experienced for a long long time. The current team never actually.

    I'll change ur link accordingly.
