I have an idea on how the ICC can ensure that all the umpiring decisions referred to the 3rd umpire - whether by the players or the on-field umpires - are always 100% accurate.
Give the 3rd umpire duties to the commentators.
The commentating team always, always get the decision right.
On top they reach the decision faster than the TV umpire.
What I don't understand is that if the commentators can see it, the viewers can see it, everyone with one eye on the TV can see it, then why can't the TV umpire see it?
Andrew Strauss was caught behind. Chanderpaul in the previous test was not out. Boucher in the 1st test was not out.
These are not even half the decisions that a TV umpire has got wrong.
What is going on here?

Q, in the trini test, the referrals been the only entertainment.
they're just trying too hard, 9 replays too many, they could have played a t20 in that much time.
in a strange way, it undermines tech, and makes the dumbass umpires more imp in a warped way.
The umpires are really making a hash of a good system. I agree with Naked Cricket - they are trying to hard.
Should be a max of two or three replays for the third umpire. If you can't decide by then, then it's not enough to overturn it. Simple as that.
It will make things faster as well.
Even if Arun Lal and Ranjit Fernando are the commentators? Q, have some mercy on Cricketers!

Agree Sledge.. I also don't like the fact that the 3rd ump can only answer the field umpire's questions and not give his view.. it shud be flexible.. I feel the system is too rigid..
Hahaha.. Raj, u never know.. they mite do better than the current umpires..
