Saurav Ganguly's Lack of Interest

Saurav Ganguly looks so uninterested here, its not even funny.

It just shows that he doesn't give a damn about what John Buchanan has to say.

I think Ganguly is just about to doze off actually.

You can also see him looking at Buchanan's watch, probably wondering when this whole thing is going to end.

Not the speech Buchanan is seen giving, but this IPL season.

One man who truly wants out of it is Ganguly.

Stripped of the captaincy, stripped of the opening slot, stripped of everything - for no good reason.

And what happened when Ganguly finally got his opening spot back?

He scored more than what McCullum or Gayle have scored in any of the matches!

That should tell Shahrukh Khan something.

Maybe dada needs to be reinstated as captain next season.

Actually, why wait for next season, do it now.

And while he's at it, he might as well fire Buchanan and family too.

Its become so sad watching Kolkata Knight Riders play that only such bold actions will get people, or atleast me, interested in them again.

You can't blame Ganguly for the lack of interest. Seriously Buchanan needs to go if KKR has to start performing again. But I have a feeling ultimately they will remove Saurav and next year Buchanan will be back with a even bigger support staff. SRK has too much money and no brains.

Buchanan and Shahrukh Khan has to take the blame for making this out of DADA. His captaincy was far better than that of McCullum or that matter Ponting's.

I dont think Saurav would return next season given his huge pride. And rightly so.

You can't blame him like Rayden says. But i disagree wit both sam and Rayden and am saying that the Prince will return like never before with Buchanan shown the door.

and thanks for mentioning me in the post :-)

Ha! some picture that; last night he didn't show up for the max six awards, asked agarkar to walk all alone at night!

Hey Christopher....I really hope what you said will become true. Love him or hate him, you have to admire Ganguly's never say die attitude. Also he is the only one capable of motivating a side in India. Dhoni is good, but he is lucky he inherited a already confident side.

Rayden: I think SRK might have learnt his lesson. Buchanan will surely be shown the door after this season is over. SRK does have some brains - maybe not cricket brains but he knows how to do business, IMO.

Sam: Ganguly will not return is he is going to be humiliated the way he was this season. But if he's asked to come back as captain then he would i think.

Considering next year's IPL will be in India, Kolkata cannot afford to play home games at Eden without Ganguly at the helm.

Christopher: I don't blame Saurav at all. My post was more a dig at Buchanan than Saurav - he has every right to be disinterested.

Ur pic buddy so had to mention u :-)

    NC: wat max six awards?

Rayden: Don't forget Dhoni inherited a side from Dravid and Kumble, hence they might not have been as motivated as they were under Ganguly.

Q, whatever it is they give a batsman for hitting the max sixes -agarkar n gang had 2 6s each but gang did not go up to collect that big fat 1 lakh cheque, agarkar went alone.

NC: Oh yeah that.. I missed that yesterday so didn't realise.

Man KKR need to do somehting.. FIP's latest post suggests that McCullum has floated the idea of benching himself to play David Hussey and give the captaincy to Ganguly.. I'd be more than happy if that happens..

Even moreso if Hussey plays instead of Van Wyk, McCullum plays, and Ganguly captains!

How can Ganguly be bored when he’s writing the Fake IPL blog?

LB: In that case, Ganguly is looking at the watch and wondering whether he'll get enough time before the game for another post!

Unfortunately that is how he was in all his years of representing India. He's no different now, I would say.

12th Man - I could not disagree more with you on what you said. Ganguly was never this way and while he was captain he did give his all. I am not denying the politics etc but what you said is totally over the top.

Rayden, I was not questioning his commitment towards the game and towards playing for India.

I was referring to him skipping the fielding drills and the "preparation" phase of the match.

Hey 12th, understood now. Sorry my bad :-)

12th Man and Rayden: Initially I also wondered what 12th Man was talking about, because I consider that it is Ganguly who sowed the seeds for India's dominance at the start of this decade.

    Thanks for the clarification 12th.
