Following the success of the Well Pitched Facebook page, Uncle J Rod has launched his own Cricket with Balls Facebook page.

If you haven't already, I suggest you become a fan of both.

Someone asked Uncle J how the facebook page would be any different from his existing blog.

I'm not sure about Cricket with Balls, but what we have done on our Facebook page is that we have added a number of videos and picture albums, besides the RSS Feed of our blog. There will probably be more additions to the features as we go along, but as of now you can find all the IPL team videos on the Well Pitched Facebook page as well as a few picture albums.

We recently added some new videos that may be of interest:

Besides facebook, the cricket blogosphere has been busy covering the IPL, following the county season, and praising Shane Warne. Here are some of the recent IPL related posts that have led me to comment in defence or in support of the IPL:
Nestaquin discusses how the cricket (as we know it) has prevailed in the IPL and that he doesn't think that this is any revolution. My comments were on why I think it is the revolution. Nesta is one of the few bloggers who has been keenly following the IPL.
AYALAC recently did a post describing how viewers had become bored of the IPL and that TV ratings were falling and that the interest had dwindled after the initial hype. No points for guessing what my comments were.
David Barry points out that 20-20 cricket involves a lot of luck so don't just yet proclaim as to which IPL team is the best. In another post he compares his own pre-IPL ratings of teams with mine and Arjwiz's. Well done DB!
Soulberry wonders whether the IPL is actually a domestic tournament as Sehwag claimed it to be. I think it totally is a domestic tournament but SB has interesting views.
DS Henry continues to cover the IPL like no one else giving away awards to daily performers.
SOM tries to figure out when the Pakistani players in the IPL will start performing, while Trideep shares his experience of watching an IPL match at the ground. Straight Point suggests what needs to be done to tilt the game in favour of the bowlers, whereas Ottayan thinks that there has been a turnaround in the bowlers' fortunes in the IPL.

Amidst all this, the 2nd female cricket blogger emerged on the scene and joined Uncle J over at Cricket with Balls.
Miriam, who is also a regular commenter on Well Pitched, has done two cracking posts - one is a hilarious take on what test cricket needs to give itself a boost, and the other one is a comparison of international test nations to men. How fun!
The Allen Stanford University for Cricket Bloggers welcomes Miriam as its 2nd female faculty member.

Just an update for all our visitors.

Obaid recently created a Well Pitched page on Facebook and you can view it by clicking on the link on the right sidebar.

Besides poviding a daily feed of all the posts that go up on Well Pitched, our Facebook page has some additional features such as pictures and videos. As of now most of these are IPL related, naturally, but we will keep adding more as we go along.

If you want to catch a glimpse of Sreesanth shedding tears and being consoled by the Mumbai and Punjabi players, hop on over and go through the Sreesanth album. We've got other albums as well of Priety Zinta cheering her team on, the cheerleaders, and those of our favorite team - the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Most of the IPL team videos are on the page thanks to the youtube video box application.

There is one video though, which I think would interest people more than others. That is of Shahid Afridi's fastest 100 against Sri Lanka back in 1996. That was Afridi's 1st ever ODI innings and he cracked a 100 off a mere 37 balls creating a world record that still stands. you can view the 30 minute highlights of that innings on our Facebook page.
